On Saturday, January 28 Ann Taylor will partner with Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Assoc. (GSCBWLA) to host an exclusive private shopping party at its Aventura and Dadeland stores for law students from University of Miami, Nova Southeastern Univ., Florida International University and St. Thomas University law schools. The idea for the event actually came about because so many law students had questions about proper attire, now that they have embarked on a law career.
GSCBWLA reached out to Ann Taylor because the company’s clothing provides an affordable option for the professional, modern, versatile and stylish clothing many of the women are looking for. On Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m., the stores will welcome our student members and others to a private shopping experience, which will include expert styling tips, refreshments and more. The goal is to keep the enjoyment in shopping for a new career by taking the guess work out of it. Reassuring women, especially young women, that their wardrobe can have personality and be courtroom appropriate at the same time is very important to them.
