Legal Services of Greater Miami and its 30 lawyers have provided legal representation to low-income communities for 55 years.   The firm is a leader in the legal aid community and has been recognized for its creative and aggressive advocacy for its clients. 

 

Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc., (Legal Services) is accepting applications from attorneys admitted to the Florida Bar or pending July 2022 bar results who have a commitment to and passion for the rights of low-income clients and unsheltered individuals.  The attorney will be responsible for his or her own caseload and will be required to conduct client intake on the phone, in-person, and off site at homeless shelters. The attorney will be required to participate in community outreach events and conduct educational training to our client and provider communities. The attorney will primarily represent unsheltered clients in a variety of substantive areas. Additionally, the attorney will take the lead in fighting for the rights of Miami-Dade and Monroe County’s unsheltered residents through direct advocacy and impact work. The attorney’s work will play a key role in furthering our work to preserve and protect the dignity and basic human rights of those residing in and out of shelters.

The salary ranges from $60,500 - $66,200 (1-4 years’ experience). Comprehensive fringe benefits package includes paid holidays, paid vacation (which after two years, increases to four weeks per year), sick leave (12 days per year), five additional leave days.  Full-time employees may participate in our benefits program on the 1st of the month following the date of hire. Our benefits include fully paid health insurance for employee & dependents, fully paid dental coverage for employees, dependents may also be included at a minimum fee, fully paid life insurance and Long-Term Disability policy as well as retirement savings plans with employer contributions after six months of service.
