Pay Grade/Salary: $80,000-$115,000 AnnuallY

The City Attorney’s Office is currently accepting applications for Assistant City Attorney.  Under the direction of the City Attorney, this position serves as an advisor and consultant in the resolution of complex legal matters, represents the City in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government, and provides legal advice and assistance to municipal advisory boards and committees. Relevant experience for this position includes experience in areas including, civil litigation, legislative drafting, sunshine law, public records, utilities, police matters, contracts, and land use.

Minimum Requirements:

Professional Law degree (JD) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.

Membership, in good standing in the Florida Bar.

Minimum of 5 years professional experience as a licensed attorney in any United States jurisdiction.

Minimum of 2 years of legal experience in field of municipal law.

Knowledge of Roberts Rules of Order, parliamentary procedure, Home Rule, and other municipal laws.

Valid Florida Driver’s License.
